Anniversary exhibition dedicated to the Centenary of Romanian Patriarchate to be varnished on Tuesday
Bucharest, Feb 3 /Agerpres/ – An anniversary exhibition dedicated to the completion of a century since the elevation of the Romanian Orthodox Church to the rank of Patriarchy will be hosted, starting Tuesday, in the Europa Christiana Hall of the Palace of Patriarchate.
Organized by the Holy Synod Library, the exhibition, entitled ‘National Unity and Ecclesiastical Dignity. The Elevation of the Romanian Orthodox Church to the Rank of Patriarchate,’ brings together archival documents, letters, photographs and objects that illustrate the church transformations since 1925, informs the Basilica Agency of the Romanian Patriarchate.
During the same event, the Holy Synod Library will also exhibit anniversary panels dedicated to the completion of two decades since the founding of the newspaper ‘Lumina,’ the first Christian daily newspaper in Romania.
The exhibition will be open for a week starting Wednesday, daily, between 9.00 am and 4.00 pm.
The Romanian Orthodox Church celebrates, on Monday and Tuesday, 100 years since its elevation to the rank of Patriarchate.
On this occasion, several events will take place at the Patriarchal Cathedral, including the solemn proclamation of the canonization of the 16 Romanian holy confessors and confessors of the 20th century.
