Ambassador Guilfoyle: Alexandroupolis has always been ‘vital and strategic’ for the United States
Visiting the city of Alexandroupolis on Tuesday, United States Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle highlighted its significance for the United States.
“This has always been such a vital and strategic part for the United States of America. I have been looking forward very much for this trip not only as it is imperative in terms of the relationship of the U.S. and Greece but also for our NATO allies in the area of logistics, military and energy cooperation. And we are looking forward to expanding that effort.
“We had a wonderful discussion about that here, and I just wanted to come and show my respect, my interest and appreciation for everything that Greece has done for the U.S. and reiterate that the U.S. will always be a steadfast ally to the Hellenic Republic,” she said.
