Amalia Lica wins three gold medals in apparatus finals at 2024 European Championships in Rhythmic Gymnastics
Romanian athlete Amalia Lica won three gold medals in the apparatus finals on Thursday evening at the 2024 European Championships in Rhythmic Gymnastics in Budapest.
Lica won in the hoop with 32.850 points, followed by Israel’s Franco Alona Tal, 32.750 points, and Poland’s Olivia Maslov, 32.250 points.
In the clubs final, Lica won with 30,800 points, ahead of Slovenia’s Alja Ponikvar, 30,550 points, and Franco Alona Tal, 30,450 points.
Lica also came first in the ribbon, scoring 30.950 points, ahead of Bulgarian Dara Malinova, 29.600 points, and Georgian gymnast Barbare Kajaia, 29.000 points.
In the ball final, Lisa Garac ranked 5th with 30,200 points, ahead of Israeli Meital Maayan Sumkin, 33,550 points, Italian Anna Piergentili, 31,250 points, Bulgarian Magdalena Valkova, 31,150 points, and Azerbaijani Ilaha Bahadirova, 30,500 points.
Romania’s tally at the European junior championships is four gold medals, after Lica and Garac won the Budapest and continental team titles on Wednesday.
