TIRANA, July 25/ATA/ The Albanian team consisting of eight athletes arrived in Paris last evening for the 33rd edition of the Olympic Games.

Luiza Gega, Zelimkhan Abakarov, Islam Dudaev, Chermen Valiev, Franko Burraj, Manjola Konini, Kaltra Meça and Grisi Konxhaku will compete in various sports disciplines aiming for a medal for Albania in this important world competition.

The 33rd edition of the Olympic Games will begin on July 26, with the opening ceremony in Paris, an event that will bring together 10,500 athletes from all over the world. The games end in August 11.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Edi Rama attended last evening in Paris the International Summit on Sport and Sustainable Development held on the eve of “Paris 2024” Olympic Games./
