Albania attends North America International Food Ingredients Fair in U.S.

Albania took part for the first time in the North America International Food Ingredients Fair held from 30th – 31st October 2024 at Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.

This year’s Fair marks a milestone event for the Albanian agribusinesses as they are showcasing their fresh products to over 18,500 industry professionals from all over the world.

Albania’s pavilion was attended by a large number of visitors as Albanian olive oil producers, medical plants and aromatic herbs showcased their quality products at one of the world’s leading fairs. Visitors learned about Albania’s rich agricultural heritage and met with representatives of companies committed to quality, innovation and sustainable practices.

Albanian producers participated in the Fi North America 2024 exhibition as part of the Trade promotion East: Balkan States and Central Asia project, supported by the International Trade Centre (ITC), and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).

The project is designed to enhance competitiveness and sustainable export growth of small and medium-sized enterprises, SMEs, and improve the capacities of business support organizations (BSOs) to provide quality services to SMEs. The support for Albanian SMEs in expanding their international reach opens the door to products steeped in tradition, but suitable for today’s global markets.

The North America International Food Ingredients Fair is not just a trade exhibition, but also a centre for innovation. The exhibition is the perfect event for exhibitors to showcase their products to a global audience. It is the largest gathering of food ingredients professionals in North America. More than 18,000 industry participants from over 72 countries are attending. It is a great opportunity to learn about the latest trends in the industry and connect with potential customers and partners.

Albanian companies can improve their products and expand their offerings by participating in this event supported and managed by ITC. The exhibition offers access to workshops and talks by experts on topics such as sustainability and digital transformation, which closely align with the strategic goals of the Albanian Pavilion.

The exposure to modern industry trends will provide these enterprises with valuable knowledge that can be applied to further strengthen the agribusiness sector in Albania.
