AGERPRES managing director to address Delphi Economic Forum on disinformation and manipulation in the online space

The managing director of the AGERPRES National News Agency and member of the board of the European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA), Claudia Nicolae, will speak on Saturday, 13 April, about the phenomenon of disinformation and manipulation in the online space, within the panel “Combating disinformation in a multipolar world – strategies, tools and challenges”, organised at the ninth annual meeting of the Delphi Economic Forum.

The forum is held from Wednesday to Saturday in the historic city of Delphi, Greece, under the patronage of the President of the Hellenic Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou.

The overarching theme of this year’s forum is “The Great Transition” and addresses global challenges such as climate change, social inequality, geopolitical tensions and technological revolutions that can no longer be ignored. During the four-day debate, nearly a thousand speakers from 70 countries will explore how societies, economies and institutions can effectively manage this transition by using innovation, collaboration and inclusive action to pave a path towards a more prosperous world.

The sessions are divided into six thematic pillars: geopolitics – understanding power changes and encouraging diplomatic dialogues; planet – exploring sustainable solutions, focusing on environmental challenges and innovative environmental initiatives; sustainable economy and finance, responsible for a better future; the future, shaped by dialogue and change; education, which needs to be redefined for the twenty-first century, with a focus on innovation, inclusion and lifelong learning; People – emphasis on societal development, human rights and empowering individuals in a changing world.
