Bucharest, April 22 /Agerpres/ – The 5th edition of the Bucharest Sculpture Days will take place between April 26 and May 11 in the spaces of the SENAT and The Institut Galleries and in the courtyard of the Plastic Fund Complex in the Capital.
According to a press release from the organizers sent to AGERPRES on Tuesday, the event returns in 2025 with an exhibition of contemporary sculpture and transmedia that brings to the forefront the human figure as a space of tension between norm and identity, between history and future, between the physical and augmented body.
‘There is a body that we easily recognize: the one in the mirror, the one in glossy advertisements, the one learned, modeled, accepted. But there is also the other body. The body rewritten by trauma, love, identity. The augmented, politicized, vulnerable body. The body that does not fit into norms, but explodes into forms. We challenge you to look beyond the surface. Because in art, as in life, what you see is not all there is,’ declared the exhibition’s curator, Reka Csapo Dup, according to the press release.
The official opening will take place on April 26, at 6:00 PM.
The #celalaltcorp exhibition can be visited every day between 12:00 and 18:00. Admission is free.
The event is organized by the Sculpture Branch of the Union of Fine Artists from Bucharest, with the support of the Ministry of Culture.
