ZAGREB, 4 Feb (Hina) – In Croatia, 4,461 new passenger cars were sold in January this year, the same as in January 2024, according to data from the Promocija Plus market research agency published on Tuesday, which also show that Volkswagen vehicles had the highest sales.
A total of 548 Volkswagen vehicles were sold, securing a market share of 12.3%. Škoda ranked second with 529 new cars sold and an 11.9% market share, while Suzuki came third with 344 vehicles sold, accounting for 7.7% of the market.
In January, Croatian buyers predominantly opted for petrol cars, with 1,995 units sold, making up 44.7% of total sales. Hybrids were also in demand, with 1,751 units sold, representing 39.3% of the total market. Diesel cars ranked third, purchased by 492 buyers, or 11% of total sales.
