TIRANA, October 4/ATA/ The average monthly consumption expenditure for a household of 3 to 4 people increased by 3.7% in 2023.

INSTAT published today the Household Budget Survey which shows that in 2023, the average monthly consumption expenses for a household, consisting on average of 3.7 people, is estimated at 91,675 ALL.

A household spent an average monthly value of ALL 36,349 on food and non-alcoholic beverages, which accounts for 40% of the household budget.

Expenses for housing, water, electricity and rent are calculated at approximately 9 thousand ALL, or 9.7% of the total budget.

While 7.4% of the household budget is spent on restaurants and hotels.

Households in Tirana have the highest level of consumption expenditure, on average 108,098 ALL per month. While the district with the lowest level of consumption expenditure is Kukës, on average 73,225 ALL.
