26 athletes from five different sports will represent Kosovo in the third edition of the Mediterranean Sand Games Heraklion 2023, which will be held from June 9 to 16 in Heraklion, Greece.

Athletes come from the sports of sand volleyball, 3×3 basketball, sand handball, open water swimming and sand karate.

Sand handball, 3×3 basketball and sand karate represent our country for the first time in such an event. Handball participates with the men’s team, while 3×3 basketball and sand volleyball participate in both competitions.

The two swimmers will compete in the 5 km open water discipline, while the two karate players will compete in the individual kata discipline.

In addition to athletes and coaches, volleyball is also represented by referee Valon Mustafa.

Kosovo was represented for the first time at LMR Patras 2019.
