Podgorica, (MINA) – Montenegro is the most advanced candidate country in its accession negotiations, said European Enlargement Commissioner Oliver Varhelyi, adding that they are all set to close the interim benchmarks.

Varhelyi wrote on the X social network that he came to Montenegro with a clear message.

“Montenegro is the most advanced candidate country in its accession negotiation”, said Varhelyi.

According to him, the goal is to drive Montenegro forward to the next level.

“We are all set to close the interim benchmarks. We are committed to more forward”, said Varhelyi.
