The photo archive of great Albanian painter Vangjush Mio is saved. Minister of Culture Elva Margariti wrote in the social media that it was finalization of the cooperation between the Ministry of Culture and the “Photo-archive”.

For the first time, the unknown photo archive of Vangjush Mio has been digitized and published. This archive contains about 450 negatives from the years 1930-1940 which bring the atmosphere of Albanian cities, characteristic houses, lost cult objects, pastoral scenes and villages of the Southeast.

It is about rare shots, captured with the painter’s eye, fascinating landscapes of Korça, Pogradec, Elbasan, Kruja, Durrës and Vlora./
