Students from Babes-Bolyai University (UBB) in Cluj-Napoca ranked third in the international UTS Global Case Competition in Sydney.
“Students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FSEGA) of the Babes-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca (UBB) have once again climbed the podium of the international UTS Global Case Competition, held from September 4 to 8 2023 at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), in which 14 university teams from 11 countries won the right to participate based on the results obtained in recent years in similar competitions. The student team representing FSEGA performed remarkably well at this competition, winning both rounds of the preliminary group and thus qualifying for the grand final of the competition, where they finished third,” reads a press release sent on Wednesday by UBB.
The team from Cluj was made up of students Pasztor Kende (Management, 3rd year), Szekely Evelin-Beata (Economic Informatics, 3rd year), Szekernyes Peter (Finance and Banking, 3rd year) and Szoke Dora (Management, 3rd year), coordinated by Prof. Szasz Levente, associate professor Gyorfy Lehel and Prof. Racz Bela-Gergely.
