Trade deficit declined by about €117 million in the first seven months of the year, after declining by about €16 million in July, according to preliminary estimates of the Statistical Service of Cyprus.
Figures released on Wednesday showed that trade deficit fell between January and July to 2015 to €1,83 billion, compared to €1,94 billion in the respective period of 2014, recording a decrease of €109,69 million.
On the basis of preliminary estimates for the foreign trade of Cyprus in July 2015, total imports / arrivals were €450,1 million, of which €341,6 million were arrivals from other member states of EU and €108,5 mn imports from third countries.
Total exports/dispatches were €130,3 mn of which €67,5 mn were dispatches to other member states of EU and €62,8 mn exports to third countries.
