Trade deficit at €3.691,9mn in 2014

The trade deficit stood at €3.691,9mn during the period January-December 2014 compared to €3.221,1mn in the corresponding period of 2013, the Statistical Service of Cyprus said on Wednesday.

Total imports/arrivals (covering total imports from third countries and arrivals from other member states) in January-December 2014 amounted to €5.133,4mn as compared to €4.830,4mn in January-December 2013, it said.

Total exports/dispatches (covering total exports to third countries and dispatches to other member states) in January-December 2014 were €1.441,5mn compared to €1.609,3mn in January-December 2013, the Service added.

In December total imports/arrivals stood at €379,9mn.

Total exports/dispatches, including stores and provisions amounted to €111,7mn.

Exports/dispatches of domestically produced goods, including stores and provisions, were €57,0mn while exports/dispatches of foreign goods, including stores and provisions, were €54,7mn.
