TIRANA, Nov 19/ATA/ – The Minister of Tourism and Environment Mirela Kumbaro on Monday attended a meeting with GIZ Albania partners, Horwath HTL experts, the world’s largest and most experienced hospitality consulting brand, and local tour and industry operators to discuss Albania’s new tourism strategy investment as part of Tourist Albania 2030 plan.
Tourism Minister Kumbaro said that today’s gathering completes the public consultation process after similar events previously held in the regions of Korça, Dibër, Vlora and Shkodër.
“For the first time, Albanian capital has been named a tourist region for its all dynamics Tirana has undergone to become a true destination,” Kumbaro said.
“The meeting revealed new elements of the national tourism strategy as a primary document to formulate tourism development policies, the legal framework, fiscal policies and investment plans, tourist offer and products, management of tourist destinations and Albania’s promotion in the international arena, as well as policies to boost professional capacities by employing young boys and girls in the sector,” Tourism Minister said.
