The total sales of petroleum products recorded an increase of 6.8% in January, compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, Cyprus Statistical Service said on Monday.
The total sales of petroleum products in January 2015 recorded a decrease of 5.9% compared to the previous month, the Service said.
It added that a decline was observed in the sales of asphalt, motor gasoline, gasoil low sulphur, heavy fuel oil and in the provisions of gasoil for marine use and aviation kerosene.
The Service said that an increase was recorded in the sales of kerosene, gasoil and liquefied petroleum gases.
The total stocks of petroleum products at the end of the month recorded a decrease of 11.4% compared to the previous month.
