In the framework of the cooperation with Jordan, an army team from Jordan has conducted the Urban Search and Rescue training at the Search and Rescue International Training Centre Kosovo of the National Guard of the Kosovo Security Force.
For three weeks, the training was carried out in the theoretical and practical part, where 10 soldiers from Jordan and 5 from KSF attended the training, preparing themselves in basic and advanced knowledge on the topics: Opening and Safety of roads to victims through breaks, cuts and inhumanities, first medical aid, evacuation of victims, etc.
At the certification ceremony, the Minister of Defense, Armend Mehaj, the commander of the National Guard, Brigadier General Naim Haziri, the Director of Search and Rescue International Training Centre Kosovo, Mr. John Donne, as well as officers of the KSF and NALT, were present at the certification ceremony.
Minister Mehaj and General Haziri highly appreciated the cooperation between the two armies, expressing readiness for the expansion and advancement of this cooperation in other areas of common interest.
Captain Ahmad from the Jordanian army thanked the KSF for the opportunity created to carry out Search and Rescue training, and congratulated the Search and Rescue Center for the activity and operations carried out by this unit, and in particular the operation carried out in the Republic of Turkey after the earthquake.
