Romanian tennis player Simona Halep, WTA’s world No. 2, is included in five categories in the polls conducted by the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA), wtatennis.com.
Simona is nominated in the following categories: Social Fan Favorite Player, Post of the Year, Match of the Year, Best Dressed On-Court and Best Dressed Off-Court.
In addition, Halep is also included in the Video of the Year category in the WTA Emojis, WTA RacquetSabers and Canadian or Not Canadian sections.
The Post of the Year category features Halep’s Facebook post dated April 3, published after the final of the Miami tournament, which she lost to WTA No. 1 Serena Williams (6-2, 4-6, 7-5). In the past 4 weeks, I proved to myself that, if I want it strong enough, if I don’t give up on the match before I finish it, I can reach further and further.
