Podgorica, (MINA) – The Montenegrin healthcare system is prepared to respond if the Q fever spreads to humans, stated Prime Minister Milojko Spajic.
He told the press conference, asked about the spread of Q fever, that he consulted with Minister of Health Vojislav Simun.
“Citizens should not worry. The healthcare system is fully prepared to respond to the challenge if Q fever spreads to humans”, Spaji c remarked.
He said that all farmers who lost animals due to Q fever will be compensated, noting that further details will be provided by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management.
Spajic emphasized that setting the locations for the burial of deceased and euthanized animals infected with Q fever is under the exclusive jurisdiction of local governments.
He also stated that the Ministry of Education, Science, and Innovation has no connection with attendance of teachers and children from Montenegro to the celebration of the Day of the Serbian Flag.
“We cannot influence extracurricular activities or where anyone spends their free time”, said Spajic.
