Podgorica, (MINA) – Montenegrin citizens have strong desire for their country to join the EU, said newly appointed EU ambassador in Podgorica, Johann Sattler, adding that he will do everything in his power to help Montenegro join the EU as soon as possible.

In his press statement, Sattler said that he knows the Western Balkans very well and that he has known and respected Montenegro since the 1990s.

He said that he sees some good things that have remained unchanged, but also significant improvements everywhere.

“I see a great desire among the citizens of Montenegro to have their country become part of the EU. Rest assured of one thing: I will give 150 per cent to make the dream of Montenegro’s citizens come true and for this country to become an EU member as soon as possible”, Sattler stated.

Sattler has been the EU Ambassador to Montenegro since September 1, and prior to that he served as the head of the EU Delegation and the EU’s Special Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina.Top of FormBottom of Form
