Sales of petroleum products decrease 3,8% in 2014

The total sales of petroleum products in 2014 showed a decrease of 3,8% compared to the previous year, while the stocks of petroleum products at the end of 2014 decreased by 4,5% compared to the end of the year 2013, according to the Republic’s statistical service.

Sales of Motor Gasoline decreased by 2,4% and of Gasoil Low Sulphur by 3,8%. A decline was observed in the sales of Kerosene (-18,6%), Gasoil (-9,9%), Asphalt (-14,8%), Light (-6,5%) and Heavy (-2,6%) Fuel Oil and Liquefied Petroleum Gases (-5,8%). A fall was also recorded in the provisions of Gasoil for Marine use (-3,9%) and Aviation Kerosene (-1,7%).

The total sales of petroleum products in December 2014 recorded an increase of 8,4% compared to the previous month.

A rise was observed in the sales of Liquefied Petroleum Gases, Kerosene, Gasoil, Asphalt, Motor Gasoline, Gasoil Low Sulphur, Light and Heavy Fuel Oil, as well as in the provisions of Gasoil for Marine use. On the contrary, a decrease was recorded the provisions of Aviation Kerosene. The total stocks of petroleum products at the end of the month recorded an increase of 4,9% compared to the previous month.
