Romania’s team has won two silver medals and one bronze medal at the 9th edition of the International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO) that went on September 12-20 at Pocos de Caldas, Brazil, the Romanian Ministry of Education and Scientific Research reports in a release sent to AGERPRES on Monday.
The silver medals went to Alexandra Dima (11th grader of the Bucharest International Informatics High School) and to Dan-Mircea Neagoe (10th grader of the Mircea Cel Batran National College of Constanta). The bronze was captured by Tudor-Cristian Cozma (10th grader of the Emil Racovita National College of Iasi). Also included in the Romanian team was 12th grader of the Bucharest International Informatics High School Maria Velicu.
Competing in this year’s edition of the International Earth Science Olympiad were 92 students from 23 countries. More…
