Bucharest, March 7 /Agerpres/ – Romania is leading the countries in the XTB portfolio when it comes to the number of women investors, surpassing countries such as France, Spain or Portugal. Romanian women are choosing innovative companies like NVIDIA and Tesla, as well as traditional assets like gold and oil, according to a specialist analysis.
The latest data shows that 21.2% of XTB investors in Romania were women in 2024, with their percentage increasing year over year (2023 – 19.8%, 2022 – 19.1%, 2021 – 14.8%). Among new investors, their share reached 23%, also placing Romania among the top countries in the XTB portfolio.
Women in Romania have shown increasing interest in financial markets and are choosing to diversify their portfolios. The most popular companies in which they have allocated capital are NVIDIA, CleanSpark and Tesla – entities recognised for innovation and rapid growth in the technology and green energy sectors.
At the same time, women are also interested in traditional assets, trading heavily in gold and oil, two of the most popular CFD instruments on the XTB platform. Moreover, Romanian women hold stocks (28% of them) and ETFs (24%), indicating a balanced approach between direct investments.
It is noteworthy that women use the mobile platform for trading more than the desktop version, suggesting a more dynamic and flexible investment behaviour.
