Romania eyeing qualification of three rowing crews to the 2016 Olympic Games

Romania’s objective at the 2015 World Rowing Championships to be held August 30 – September 6 on Lake Aiguebelette (France), is to get three crews qualified for the 2016 Olympic Games, according to the Romanian Rowing Federation.

In France, Romania will compete in four women’s and three men’s events:

(LW2x) Lightweight Women’s Double Sculls: Ionela Livia Lehaci, Gianina Elena Beleaga (27 entries)

(W2-) Women’s Pair: Cristina Grigoras, Laura Oprea (22 entries)

(W2x) Women’s Double Sculls: Viviana Iuliana Bejinariu, Ioana Vrinceanu (25 entries)

(W8+) Women’s Eight: Roxana Cogianu, Iuliana Popa, Mihaela Petrila, Ioana Craciun, Adelina Cojocariu, Irina Dorneanu, Madalina Beres, Andreea Boghian, Daniela Druncea (10 entries)

(M1x) Men’s Single Sculls: Ioan Prundeanu (41 entries)

(M2-) Men’s Pair — Entries: Cristi Ilie Pirghie, George Palamariu (27 entries)

(M4-) Men’s Four: Vlad Dragos Aicoboae, Adrian Damii, Marius Vasile Cozmiuc, Toader Andrei Gontaru (21 entries). More…
