In a Facebook post on Monday, Romanian gymnast Marian Dragulescu said Romania’s school of gymnastics has three athletes competing in the Rio 2016 Summer Olympic Games finals, voicing hopes that together with fellow gymnasts Andrei Muntean and Catalina Ponor he will bring joy to their fans in the country.
“Thank you for having been and still being with us! Together we have made it to three finals. We hope to bring you joy on finals days August 15 and 16! Go Romania!” Dragulescu said in his post.
Dragulescu, 35, has advanced to the August 15 men’s vault final event at Rio 2016, while Andrei Muntean has advanced to the men’s parallel bars final scheduled for August 16.
Romanian Catalina Ponor has made it to the women’s beam final at the Rio 2016 artistic gymnastics competition and she will be vying for a medal on August 15. More…
