According to preliminary statistics released by Monstat, Montenegro’s gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 6.6 percent in the third quarter.
The Statistical Office stated in a press release that the GDP had amounted to nearly €2.17 billion in the third quarter, up from €1.87 billion in the last year’s corresponding period.
This is the second fastest economic growth in the reporting period in Europe, with only Malta ahead of Montenegro with a 7.1 percent growth.
In the region, the economic growth stood at 3.6 percent in Serbia, 2.8 percent in Croatia, and 1.1 percent in Slovenia.
