Public passenger transport in Focsani city has become fully electric, after the last of the 20 electric buses purchased by the city hall for the city’s public transport company were registered and introduced on municipal routes.

The range of an electric bus varies between 130 and 200 kilometres after a full charge, depending on traffic conditions, and the city’s public transport company has managed to make significant savings in fuel consumption since the introduction of electric buses.

”I think the future will change when we also have one-way streets, following the completion of the modernisation of the transport infrastructure in Focsani, and we will have lanes dedicated only to public transport,” said Ion Diaconu, director of SC Tranport Public Focsani.
