President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, said “above all else in the execution of the work of the new members of the Council of Ministers is the public interest.”
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of the new members of the Council of Ministers, the President called on the new Ministers to work tirelessly, with dedication, building upon the legacy of the previous Ministers, so as to fulfill the expectations of the people.
“Our ark”, the President said, “is the Republic of Cyprus, with a clear European, Western orientation, and our goal is the prosperity, progress, and security of the country and its people.”
President Christodoulides thanked the outgoing members of the Cabinet for their dedication and for how tirelessly they worked.
Responding on behalf of the new ministers, Minister of Agriculture, Christos Senekis, thanked the President, stressing that the new portfolios they are assuming represent a supreme honor and a heavy responsibility.
“We want to serve the citizens, and our responsibility is the implementation of the government programme”, Senekis said, also thanking the outgoing Ministers, who left behind significant work and an important legacy for their successors.
