The President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades travels on Thursday to Valetta, Malta, to participate in the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) which will take place between 27 and 28 November, an official press release said on Wednesday.
The President is expected to make interventions on issues with regard to climate change, migration, combating extremism and sustainable development, the press release said.
On the sidelines of the Conference, he will hold bilateral meetings with leaders of member states of the Commonwealth.
Foreign Affairs Minister Ioannis Kasoulides and Government Spokesman Nikos Christodoulides will accompany the President.
On 29 November, Anastasiades, accompanied by the Government Spokesman, will travel to Brussels to participate in the meeting of the Heads of State or Government of the EU with Turkey, on the migration crisis.
The President will then go to Paris to participate in the 21st Session (COP21) of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
He will return to Cyprus on 1 December.
