BAKU, AZERBAIJAN, (BTA) – Bulgarian President Rumen Radev arrived on an official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan on Tuesday at the invitation of his counterpart Ilham Aliyev. The Bulgarian delegation was welcomed officially at the airport.
On the delegation are caretaker Minister of Energy Vladimir Malinov, the Chairman of the Bulgaria-Azerbaijan Friendship Group in the National Assembly, Hamid Hamid, and business representatives.
The two heads of state are scheduled to hold a one-on-one session and lead the plenary talks between the delegations of the two countries, after which they will sign a joint declaration on advancing the strategic partnership between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan.
In Baku, Radev is also scheduled to meet with the Speaker of the Parliament of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova, and talk with Bulgarian specialists working in the field of sport in Azerbaijan.
Strengthening and deepening of the bilateral strategic partnership in areas of mutual interest, including economy, energy, high technologies, innovations, transport and tourism, are expected to be in the focus of President Radev’s visit.
