Polish President Nawrocki visits bear sanctuary in Zarnesti, symbolically adopts a bear
The President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, visited Libearty Bear Sanctuary in Brasov County, where he symbolically adopted a bear, the “Milioane de Prieteni”/”Million of Friends” Association, which manages the bear sanctuary announced.
“The fact that the President of Poland chose to visit AMP Libearty to see our work with his own eyes means a great deal to us. The sanctuary is not only about rescue and care, but also about education, awareness and change. Every day we try to teach people what respect for animals means, how important compassion and responsibility are, and how much harm human indifference can cause,” said the association’s president, Cristina Lapis, founder of the sanctuary.
Karol Nawrocki is the first head of state to visit the Libearty Bear Sanctuary.
During the visit, he chose to symbolically adopt Batyr, one of the bears rescued and cared for at the facility.
