Prime Minister Victor Ponta announced on Wednesday that the representatives of the Government and the ruling coalition reached “an agreement and political support” for agriculture, healthcare and local authorities at a meeting dedicated to the budget review.
“Government-Coalition meeting on policy relating budget revision! Agreement and political support for healthcare, agriculture, local authorities!”, the prime minister wrote on Twitter.
The budget revision to be discussed at a special meeting of the Executive on Friday will be within the targets pledged and agreed with the international financial institutions, including the deficit target which is to stand at 1.86 percent by year-end, Ponta had announced on Tuesday.
He had previously said the revision of the budget would be positive, given Romania was recording a budget surplus. More…
