Premier Dacian Ciolos on Wednesday evening expressed his deep concern with the health issues of King Mihai I and wished him optimism and good health.
“I am deeply concerned over the news on the health state of His Majesty King Mihai I. In these difficult times, I send him good wishes of optimism and good health. I wish God give him strength, energy and surround him with love, just as His Majesty has shown love, hope and support for his people for decades,” Ciolos wrote on his Facebook page.
The Royal Council took note of the King’s health state following a recent surgical intervention, with the former sovereign voicing hope in a message released on Wednesday that he is certain that his daughter “Margareta, the Crown Custodian, will find the wisdom and strength” to represent him and complete all his public actions.
“In the past few weeks, I received the news of a serious medical diagnostic. This occurs in the year when the [Royal] Family and the Country celebrate 150 years since the founding of the Dynasty and of the modern Romanian state. I am sure my daughter Margareta, the Crown Custodian, will find the wisdom and strength to represent me and complete all my public actions. I requested the Royal Council to continue its mission and offer its advice to the Crown Custodian,” King Michael I said. More…
