Pianist Elisabeth Leonskaja: Romanian public a never-ending bottle of champagne

Pianist Elisabeth Leonskaja, one of the most acclaimed artists on the international classical music scene, believes that the Romanian public is a special one; she likened it to a bottle of champagne that never ends, because Romanians are different and they love more passionately.

“You here are different because the people is a very passionate one and you love differently and more powerfully. I would compare you with a bottle of champagne that once opened does not finish”, the pianist said on Wednesday evening at the Romanian Athenaeum, during the second edition the ‘Festival of Ideas’ , organized by the Aspen Institute Romania in collaboration with the George Enescu International Festival.
