The Romanian Embassy in Uruguay marked Romania’s National Day, which is celebrated on December 1, with a festive event held at the Museum of Pre-Columbian and Indigenous Art (MAPI) in Montevideo, where the varnishing of a photographic exhibition titled “Romania. Evolution”, organised in partnership with National News Agency AGERPRES, represented the focal point.

The exhibition offers a broad visual foray into the transformations of modern Romania and also includes a series of images with emblematic places of the country.

Romanian Ambassador Radu Mihail Filip underscored the significance of the National Day, highlighting the continuous efforts to enhance Romania’s presence in Uruguay and strengthen bilateral cooperation.

The event, held on November 28, was attended by high-ranking officials of the Government of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of the academic and business environment, as well as numerous members of the Romanian community, according to the embassy’s Facebook page.
