Petroleum products sales in 2015 rose by 5.9% compared to 2014, data released on Wednesday by the Cyprus Statistical Service show.
According to the data, total sales of petroleum products in December 2015 recorded an increase of 8.5% compared to the previous month.
There was a rise in the sales of kerosene, gasoil, liquefied petroleum gases, motor gasoline, light fuel oil and gasoil low sulphur.
On the other hand, provisions of gasoil for marine use and aviation kerosene, as well as heavy fuel oil sales fell.
Total stocks of petroleum products at the end of December recorded a drop of 10.4% compared to the previous month.
Total sales of petroleum products in 2015 showed a rise of 5.9% compared to the previous year.
Sales of motor gasoline increased by 1.3% and of gasoil low sulphur by 6.0%.
Kerosene sales were also up by 49.9%, as were gasoil sales (14.9), liquefied petroleum gases (11.2%), heavy fuel oil (8,0%) and provisions of aviation kerosene (10.2%).
A decrease was recorded in the sales of asphalt (-0.7%), light fuel oil (-2.1%) and in the provisions of gasoil for marine use (-5.5%), the statistical service data show.
The stocks of petroleum products at the end of 2015 remained at the same level compared to the end of the year 2014.
