Parliament Palace to host ‘Regional Cyber Security Summit’ next week

Next Monday and Tuesday, the Parliament Palace will be the host of a meeting focusing regional cyber security, with Prime Minister Victor Ponta, other ministers and approximately 300 people operating in cyber security field, from Romania and the other countries in the region, being expected to participate.

Thus, according to an internal memorandum approved on Wednesday by the Standing Bureau of the Deputies Chamber, the organisers of the “Regional Cyber Security Summit” asked for a few halls to be made available for the event at the Parliament Palace, free of charge.

Delivering speeches at the event will be Prime Minister Victor Ponta, the US Deputy Secretary of Commerce, Bruce Andrews, the Minister for Information Society, Mihai Grindeanu, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bogdan Aurescu. More…
