Pafos district provides citizens with green points for recycling

Pafos district has provided its citizens with green points for recycling.

Speaking to CNA, President of the board of the Marathounta landfill site in the Pafos district, Andreas Chrysanthou, said that the green points are very important for the recycling efforts in the town and district of Pafos.

He pointed out that more than 100 communities and four municipalities of the Pafos district will benefit from this program.

In addition, Chrysanthou told CNA that a campaign will take place soon, informing the public about the local green points.

Green points will sort and recycle thirty different materials. A list of those materials will be distributed to citizens, Chrysanthou said.

Three green points, he added, will cover various geographic areas of the Pafos district, while one green point will be mobile. The areas the mobile green point will cover will be announced every week.
