Opera “Lucia di Lammermoor” makes its comeback to National Theatre of Opera and Ballet after 16 years

TIRANA, Dec 5 /ATA/ The opera “Lucia di Lammermoor” by composer Gaetano Donizetti makes its comeback after 16 years to the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet.

The opera “Lucia di Lammermoor” premiered at the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet on November 1, 2008, under the direction of Nicola Zorzi.

At that time, sopranos Marjana Leka, Oriana Kurteshi, and Francesca Micarelli each brought a brilliant interpretation to the role of Lucia, offering unique portrayals of this complex character.

The role of Enrico, Lucia’s brother, was played by the renowned baritones Ylber Gjini and Marco Camastra, while the character of Edgardo, Lucia’s lover, was brought to the stage by tenors Gianluca Terranova and Cristiano Oliveri.

The role of Arturo was performed by Rudin Sata, Raimondo by Armando Likaj, Alisa by Vikena Kamenica, and Normano by Erlind Zeraliu.

This comeback after 16 years promises a rich array of emotions, with two exceptional casts of artists.

For several days now, director Ada Gurra has been working intensively with the soloists and the choir of the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet to deliver a unique interpretation of Donizetti’s opera, on December 12, 13, 15, and 16 at 19:00.
