Sofia, August 10 (BTA) – Experts from WWF Bulgaria have caught two small unmarked wild sturgeon near the village of Vetren, Northeastern Bulgaria, which indicates the presence of a new generation of wild sturgeon in the Danube, WWF said. The WWF experts say the wild sturgeon populations are extremely small given that the two fish were caught after a month-long daily sampling and hundreds of nets which caught nothing. More…
