More than 160 Illegal Aliens Detained in Police Raid in Sofia

Sofia, September 3 (BTA) – More than 160 illegal aliens were detained in a raid of the Interior Ministry and the State Agency for National Security (SANS) in Sofia, BTA learned from Interior Ministry Chief Secretary Georgi Kostov. Kostov said the number of detained people may grow because the raid which commenced on Wednesday continues on Thursday as well.  The official said that about 16,000 illegal aliens have been detained in Interior Ministry and SANS raids since the start of the year, 4,000 of whom in operations in Sofia.
