More than 105,000 Romanians spent 31 million lei on Easter holiday accommodation

More than 105,000 Romanian tourists spent 31.2 million lei on Easter holiday accommodation and catering services throughout the country; boarding houses were the most popular , with over 65,000 clients, according to data processed by the Federation of the Romanian Tourism Employers (FPTR).

The offers went from tourist packages of rural bed & breakfast to city breaks, very suitable for the short Easter holiday. As many as 136,400 beds are now available in Romania’s tourist accommodation facilities; 105,600 of them were sold for the Easter.

Rustic boarding houses were still preferred this year; the most popular destinations were Bran-Moeciu, Bucovina, Vrancea, Sibiu, Maramures and Buzau. They offered 75,000 places, and 65,000 of them were occupied. Offers included traditional products, outdoor parties, promenades in carriages and interactive workshops for decorating Easter eggs.
