Podgorica, (MINA) – Montenegro advocates for raising awareness about the necessity for respecting international humanitarian law as a precondition for establishing a permanently sustainable solution to current conflicts, said Minister of Foreign Affairs Ervin Ibrahimovic.

According to the press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ibrahimovic met on Thursday with President of the International Federation of the red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) Kate Forbes.

Ibrahimovic said that Forbes’ visit to Montenegro is a clear indicator of good cooperation that Montenegro and its national association foster with the International Federation.

“Montenegro actively advocates for raising awareness about the necessity for respecting international humanitarian law, as a precondition for establishing a permanently sustainable solutions to the current conflicts”, Ibrahimovic said, speaking about the current geopolitical circumstances.
