Podgorica, (MINA) – During the summer tourist season, 57 foreign police officers from seven countries of the region and beyond will assist the Regional Security Center South, the Police Administration has announced.
The Police Administration told the MINA News Agency that within the “Safe Tourist Season 2024” project, they continued a years-long cooperation with international partner services during the summer tourist season.
“Based on the international bilateral agreements on the exchange of police officers, which the Police Administration concluded with partner services from Albania, Croatia, Italy, Kosovo, Romania, North Macedonia and Serbia, activities are continuously implemented with the aim of maintaining and improving the security environment in coastal municipalities”, the police stated.
They clarify that during this project, 57 foreign police officers from seven countries of the region and beyond will be assigned to assist the Regional Security Center South in the security departments Budva, Bar, Ulcinj, Herceg Novi and Kotor.
According to them, this type of cooperation, along with other activities carried out by the Police Administration, aims to ensure complete personal and property security of all citizens, tourists and other persons who are transiting in Montenegro during the summer tourist season.
