The book “New state, modern statesman: Hashim Thaçi, a biography”, by the authors Roger Boyes and Suzy Jagger, was promoted in the spaces of the “Pjetër Bogdani” National Library of Kosovo, where comrades-in-arms, fellow party members, friends, and collaborators participated.

The participants spoke about the activity of the former soldier and the former president, as they expressed their conviction that he and others will triumph in the face of justice in The Hague.

The book of British journalists in the Albanian language was brought by the publishing house “Fan Noli”, whereas its translation was made by the former chief diplomat of Albania, Arta Dade.

In his speech, the head of DUI, Ali Ahmeti, said that during the war, all soldiers tried to shed blood so that their country would be free. He expressed his conviction that all former liberators will triumph.

“The entire liberation movement drafted the statement that our war is a liberating war, our war is not revenge and will respect all international conventions, and this statement has been supported by these people who are facing justice in The Hague today. These liberators, Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi, Rexhep Selimi, Salih Mustafa. We do not dispute international justice, but let’s face this… Justice is established by punishing a bad person and not a good person and a liberator. What would be the call for the liberators in the whole world, who may not have gained independence yet, that the liberators are being punished?”, said Ahmeti.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Memli Krasniqi, said that everyone would like the former president, Hashim Thaçi, not to be absent tonight. According to him, the work of the latter will remain marked forever.

Furthermore, Krasniqi added that Kosovo currently lacks international partnership. He emphasized that Thaçi was determined to get Kosovo out of the “dirt”.

A review of this book was made by the publicist, Blerim Shala, who said that the freedom of Kosovo is a miracle.

Whereas Rexhep Hida from the publishing house “Fan Noli” from Albania said that the importance of this book is twofold, since it is promoted on the eve of the 16th anniversary of the declaration of Kosovo’s Independence.
