Major General Tihomir Kundid is new Armed Forces chief of staff

ZAGREB, 26 Feb (Hina) – Major General Tihomir Kundid will be the new Armed Forces chief of staff, succeeding Admiral Robert Hranj, whose term ends on 29 February.

Kundid’s appointment was agreed by the President’s Office and the government, the HRT broadcaster said on Sunday night.

Kundid was born in Varazdin in 1969, joining the defense of Croatia in December 1990 and the Special Police in 1991. He was a member of the Gromovi 2nd Guards Brigade, in which he held numerous command duties. Since last November, he has been the commander of the Land Forces.
