MAE’s Ionita advocates continuation of NATO, EU’s adjustments amidst complex security challenges

NATO and the European Union continuing their adjustments amidst a security environment with increasingly more complex challenges was advocated on Wednesday by State Secretary for Strategic Affairs with Romania’s Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) Daniel Ionita at the 3rd edition of an international conference on stability and security in Europe called “In Quest for Stability in a Europe of Permanent Crises; German and Romanian Views,” hosted by Bucharest City.

“Ionita spoke up in favour of NATO and the EU continuing their adjustments amidst a security environment with increasingly more complex challenges in their eastern and southern neighbourhoods and also in the cyberspace. He mentioned the need for strategic and programmatic instruments to respond efficiently and anticipatorily to the whole range of challenges, including those that do not require a preponderantly military approach,” MAE reports in a press statement.
