Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades and Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci continue this evening their negotiations aiming to reunite the island under a federal roof.
Cyprus has been divided since 1974, when Turkey invaded and occupied its northern third.
Their meeting today in the framework of UN backed talks, will focus on matters which are still pending apart from the property issue. Their effort will be to try and find convergences or to lessen their differences on the matters discussed, CNA sources say.
During their last meeting, on Monday, the two leaders had discussed the property issue. In the meantime the two negotiators, Andreas Mavoryiannis and Ozdil Nami, will be delving into the criteria for the property issue in detail during their own meetings. The property issue will next be discussed by the leaders at their meeting of November 18.
They will also meet on November 20, 23, and 25.
