The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met today (Wednesday) with his counterpart from Estonia, Kaja Kallas, after the opening ceremony of the Open Government Partnership Global Summit, an international organization in which Kosovo became a member in August.
In this bilateral meeting, in addition to Kosovo’s membership in the OGP, its role in this organization and the contribution it intends to make, bilateral relations, areas of cooperation and common challenges that the two regions have with their authoritarian and aggressive neighbors, namely Serbia and Russia were also discussed.

According to the communiqué, Kurti informed the Estonian counterpart about the current situation in the country, the overall progress, the main achievement of governance and the reforms undertaken in the field of rule of law, public administration, and digitalization.
He thanked Prime Minister Kallas for Estonia’s support, cooperation, and partnership.
In this meeting, Kurti was accompanied by the Kosovo ambassador to Estonia, Shkëndije Geci-Sherifi, the Minister of Local Government Administration, Elbert Krasniqi, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Kreshnik Ahmeti.
